A light bodied, easy drinking wine that surprised us with beautiful flavours of gooseberries, plum, nutmeg and minerals – named after the Xhosa word Iliwa, meaning “Rock”.
IN THE VINEYARD
Only 500 Cabernet Franc vines were planted in some rocky terroir.
THE HARVEST
Our Cabernet Franc normally carries a light crop, which concentrates the caracteristics of the variety.
IN THE CELLAR
The wine was matured in French oak for 33 months.
