LovanE Boutique Wine Estate and Guest House
LovanE is one of the smallest wine estates near Stellenbosch, situated in the picturesque Boland, neighbouring the famous Neethlingshof Wine Estate and Overgaauw Wine Estate. 2.5 Hectare vineyards were planted on virgin land in 2003. The plantings consist of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The first wine was produced in 2006.
Guinea fowl, spotted dikkops and partridges roam freely in the vineyards. Sometimes chameleons can be found in the vineyards and in summer they can be seen on the vine trellises or fences.

Only 813 bottles were produced.
This wine was made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
THE HARVEST
The grapes were picked at near phenolic ripeness.
IN THE CELLAR
After destemming and crushing the must was pumped directly onto a sive and the free run juice pressed out of the skins by hand. The skins were the tipped into a tank for red wine production.
FOOD SUGGESTIONS
It is best enjoyed with spicy or curried foods, as well as Shushi on a hot summers afternoon.
